A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical and Oncology nursing. This role is located in Wichita, KS, offering a dynamic environment to deliver high-quality care in a well-supported unit.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care with a focus on oncology patients.
• Administer chemotherapy treatments following established protocols.
• Perform regular vital signs monitoring, including every 8 to 4 hours depending on patient status.
• Collaborate within a strong team environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical records (Meditech system) for accurate documentation.
• Participate in patient care communication via iPhone nursing system to enhance care coordination.
  
  

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current RN licensure.
• Proven experience in Medical-Surgical nursing; oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Certification in chemotherapy administration and ACLS highly desirable.
• Positive attitude with a commitment to team collaboration.
• Ability to provide care for a patient ratio of 1:5 in a 24-bed unit.
• Experience with remote telemetry is a plus.
